Biography
Elizabeth Christen Doak is an associate with Meriwether & Tharp, LLC and practices in the areas of divorce, child custody, modification, contempt, adoption, and uncontested divorce. Miss Doak studied at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.  There she served as the Editor-in-Chief of one of Northwestern’s major publications. At Northwestern, she honed her ability to write clearly and concisely.

While at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Miss Doak worked as the Disability Advocate for the Disability Resource Center  and  worked at East Tennessee Legal Aid. As a member of these organizations, she advocated for individuals in difficult circumstances and focused on both the emotional and legal needs of her clients. Miss Doak spent her final semester in school aiding victims of domestic violence at the University of Tennessee’s Domestic Violence Clinic. Her legal studies focused upon Alternative Dispute Resolution, and she has completed the formal mediation requirements to become a Georgia state certified mediator.
